Earlier this month, Joya: arte + ecología hosted New York artist Melissa Marks at Cortijada Los Gázquez. Melissa came to pursue an ongoing dialogue with her 2011 installation, SUNTRAP. This second discourse is entitled ‘The adventures of Volitia: SUNBURST’.

This is Joya: arte + ecología’s short film recording Melissa’s process to develop this new monochrome painted installation.

Last Sunday 7th of July saw the completion of SUNBURST, the drawn installation for Joya: arte + ecología by Melissa Marks. To celebrate we had a little party to say thank you to Melissa and everyone involved in what has been a fantastic project.
