What happens if I can't make my booking?

If, for circumstance out of your control, you can’t take up your creative course we keep your reservation open so that you can come again another time.


My partner and I would like to share a room. Does Los Gázquez offer a discount for couples?

For couples sharing a room and participating in our creative courses we offer a 10% discount.


I love being creative but sometimes I also like to just sit back and relax! How intensive are Los Gázquez holidays?

Our creative courses are busy and full of activity. However you can take things at your own pace and make the most out of your time at Los Gázquez at a pace that suits you.


How much money should I take with me?

Los Gázquez creative courses are all inclusive but there are times, in the villages etc., when you might want a coffee or a souvenir so some cash is useful. Drinks at Los Gázquez are included with your meals but if you would like a little something outside of mealtimes we have a paying bar.


What kinds of people go on Los Gázquez creative courses?

All kinds, mostly professionals of all ages looking to be creative. Many of our guests end up becoming friends, arranging to meet up again in other countries and other cities. What they all share is enthusiasm and a sense of fun.


Are the creative courses physically strenuous?

Some of our courses require walking but only moderately so.


I have allergies or specific dietary needs. Is this a problem?

As long as we know well in advance what your needs are we are happy to cater for you.


Do I need to bring my own equipment or materials on the creative courses?

All equipment and materials are supplied with exceptions…
For painting courses we would always recommend that you have a sketchbook and a water colour paint box. These are personal items, the repository of your thoughts and ideas. Additional materials are supplied by Los Gázquez. Specific materials are available for purchase from Los Gázquez.

Photography courses. We do not supply cameras.
Food courses. We provide everything.


Why go to inland Spain?

Inland Spain is often not well known which is a shame as Los Gázquez, for instance, is in a place of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of a natural park.


What else do I need?

Stout shoes, sunglasses, sun hat, sun cream and a water bottle.


What is the food like during creative courses?

Home made, local, seasonal, of good provenance. Expect delicious flavours and recipes from all around the Mediterranean basin and sometimes India.


What’s the weather like in mountainous inland Spain?

Almería is the sunniest and driest place in Europe with average 258 days of wall-to-wall sunshine a year. Daily mean temperatures range from 12˚C in winter to 30˚C in summer.
